About
Mundus Imaginalis
Mundus Imaginalis is a place to encounter the incongruities in life that we perceive through feeling, reason, and imagination - discrepancies and incompatibilities we sense or intuit. It is a way of looking inward while searching for direction in the world outside. A journey with the shadows, and a discovery of what is personal and intimate.
Imagination brings us closer to what remains unspoken or impossible, to what we do not understand and what feels insufficient, and offers shelter to our peculiarities. Children, no less than adults, experience these stirrings and disturbances and seek their own way to express them.
Each person is both the bearer and the inventor of their own history. Psychotherapeutic work is an attempt to understand experience across time, to honour effort and suffering, and to preserve our dignity. It opens up space for imagination through which we can come closer to the reality of our own feelings and inner images, and to the boundary between what we desire, what is possible, and what we are prepared to remain true to.
